Human Resources Partner

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers.
• Develop and maintain broad knowledge of one or more areas of Human Resources.
• Coach and partner with employees and leaders as it relates to HR area(s).
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local regulations; maintain legal documentation.
• Interpret, explain, and advise others on human resources guidance, policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.
• Manage confidential files and other privileged information.
• Maintain broad understanding of data relevant to HR area(s); manage reporting requests and interpret data for others.
• Work independently using initiative to propose solutions to problems.
• Continuously identify, measure, and improve processes.
• Understand. Create. Simplify.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• B.A. or B.S. degree in Human Resources or related field.
• Typically four years experience within Human Resources or a related field.
• Solid knowledge of laws and legal practices and procedures as it pertains to HR area.
• Excellent listening, coaching, customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical ability and problem resolution skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate discretion in handling sensitive information and data.
• Demonstrated ability to handle/prioritize tasks.
• Ability to work independently within a team environment.
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with an HRIS system and processes.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Background check results satisfactory to SEL (where applicable).
• Negative drug test result(s) (where applicable).

Preferred Qualifications

• PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM certification.
