Run what runs the world.Your role and responsibilitiesSupport the Sales organization and customers throughout the proposal process by preparing technical descriptions of the applied products, automation solutions and technology, determining costs, preparing final documentation, and serving as a key technical resource in the assigned area.1. Supports the local Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and in the preparation of demanding offers as per bid and proposal process. Provides technical support during the technical meeting, product presentations and negotiations and offers product/ solution/service related training.2. Ensures the preparation of technical and financial aspects of the offer, indicating prices and trading conditions (Technical, commercial & legal aspects are addressed).3. Prepares/supports preparation of technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements, Local Business Unit/feeder factory indications and Sales organization directives. Participates in the kick off meeting organized by the project team.4. Defines cost for the proposed solution and communicates to Salesorganization.5. Well understanding of risk management and provides information to the risk review process in accordance with ABB policy and sometimes participates in the risk review assessment6. Analyzes customer needs and competitor offers through general market information and information provided by the Sales organization7. Performs lost proposal analysis, identifies potential cause, and recommends future actions in cooperation with Sales/Local Business Unit to obtain better future results.Our Team DynamicsOur teams support each other, collaborate, and never stop learning. Being part of our team means your work matters - because the progress we make here creates real impact out there.Qualifications for the RoleIdeally you should be a Bachelor's in Electronics / Electrical / Communication EngineeringMinimum of 8 years engineering experience in industrial automation with proposal and cost estimation experience a plusComputer skills with Good experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and MS-ProjectGood knowledge of Automation solutions (DCS, SCADA, PLCs) with prior experience of ABB Control systems a plusGood knowledge about Industrial Networking, Communication protocols and standards.Prior experience of ABB Automation products is advantageCan provide a technical solution from ABB control system products and comply with customer requirementsCan develop cost element sheet, project scope and analysis related risksGood knowledge about contractual terms and conditions.Very good English writing skills and can present the technical solution through technical proposal.Strong ability to communicate verbally and writtenUnderstanding of basic accounting practices/cost DevelopmentFamiliar with Saudi arabia market, key customer’s standards and bidding process.Experience with Key customer in Saudi Arabia like Aramco, SABIC, SWCC, SEC,...Fluent in English with Arabic a plusBehavioral SkillsAbility to see both sides of an issueAbility to identify decision needs and seek the proper approvalWork as a ‘team player’Strong interpersonal skillsSeek and be ‘open’ to new technology and ideasHard worker, take ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks.We empower you to take the lead, share bold ideas, and shape real outcomes.
