Engineer, HSE

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain Health & Safety policies, procedures, and programs
• Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits
• Identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions
• Ensure compliance with local HSE laws, international standards, and company requirements
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; prepare detailed reports and root cause analyses
• Deliver HSE training and awareness sessions to employees and contractors
• Monitor safety performance metrics and prepare periodic reports
• Coordinate emergency response plans and drills
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and external auditors when required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Environmental or related field)
• 3–5 years of experience in Health & Safety, preferably in pharmaceutical sector or related
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices
• Proven experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety audits
• Certifications (Required / Preferred) such as: NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent, IOSH Managing Safely (minimum), OSHA certifications / OSHA 30-hour (preferred)
• Proficient in Both Arabic & English Language
