Technician - Electrical

Aggreko is seeking an Electrical Technician based in Riyadh to support the reliable operation of equipment through preventive maintenance troubleshooting and technical response to breakdowns. You will carry out field assignments across varying locations including challenging environments and remote sites. The role demands strong initiative technical discipline and full compliance with Aggrekos QHSE standards.

What youll do:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance diagnostics and repairs on electrical equipment including generators and low voltage (LV) systems.
• Support setup commissioning and decommissioning of units at customer or project sites both in depot and remote environments.
• Respond to breakdowns and service needs on a 24/7 on-call basis including outside standard working hours when required.
• Follow Aggrekos QHSE protocols and apply Standard Work Instructions (SWIs) and technical manuals to ensure safety and compliance.
• Accurately complete field service reports and task documentation using Aggrekos digital reporting systems with Microsoft Word and Excel to support documentation and field reporting.

Youll have the following skills and experience:

• Saudi National. Diploma or bachelors degree in electrical engineering or relevant technical discipline.
• 0 to 3 years of hands-on experience in electrical or diesel generator fields (mechanical experience is a plus).
• Ability to read electrical drawings and troubleshooting with diesel/gas generators and auxiliaries preferred.
• Competency in MS Office (Word and Excel) for technical Saudi driving license and willingness to travel long distances and work with physical technical work in varying site conditions and weather.

Additional Role Requirements:

• Hands-on approach with willingness to get hands dirty in field servicing.
• Strong personal accountability and problem-solving skills with minimal to learn and apply technical materials such as SWIs diagrams and manuals. Commitment to Aggrekos service standards safety culture and customer satisfaction.
• Demonstrated initiative and independence in resolving issues using available Environment
• Field-based role includes depots customer sites and remote locations. Outdoor work in hot or harsh weather conditions.
• On-call for emergency breakdowns or urgent service needs. Physically demanding tasks involve tools panels wiring and equipment.
