ROLE PURPOSE

The aim is to state the overall significance of the job from the organization’s perspective.

The role exists to provide comprehensive legal support and advisory services to Government Products business units by reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts and agreements, providing legal consultations throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and protecting the company’s legal interests while enabling business growth and operational excellence.

Key Accountabilities

Key Activities

• Provide legal opinions, advice, and guidance to business units on legal, commercial, and operational matters.
• Interpret applicable laws, regulations, and governmental requirements impacting products and services.
• Advise stakeholders on legal implications of business decisions and initiatives.
• Support departments in resolving legal issues and inquiries in a timely manner.
• Contract Drafting, Review & Negotiation
• Draft, review, amend, and negotiate contracts, agreements, MoUs, NDAs, partnership agreements, and other legal documents.
• Ensure contracts adequately protect the Company's rights and interests.
• Identify legal gaps, liabilities, and obligations within contractual arrangements.
• Recommend amendments and alternative contractual provisions to mitigate risks.
• Government Products Legal Support
• Provide legal support for government products, services, and digital initiatives throughout the product lifecycle.
• Review new products, enhancements, and business models from a legal and regulatory perspective.
• Support product teams in ensuring compliance with applicable laws and contractual obligations.
• Participate in legal assessments of new business opportunities and initiatives.
• Regulatory Compliance & Governance
• Monitor applicable laws, regulations, policies, and regulatory developments.
• Assess legal and regulatory impacts on business operations and products.
• Support implementation of legal compliance requirements across the business.
• Ensure alignment with internal governance frameworks and regulatory obligations.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks associated with contracts, operations, products, and partnerships.
• Provide recommendations to reduce exposure to legal claims, liabilities, and disputes.
• Support business units in evaluating legal risks related to strategic initiatives.
• Maintain awareness of emerging legal risks affecting the organization.
• Corporate & Commercial Legal Support
• Support corporate legal matters related to commercial activities and strategic transactions.
• Assist in reviewing partnership arrangements, cooperation agreements, and business engagements.
• Support legal due diligence activities when required.
• Contribute to legal assessments related to expansion initiatives and new opportunities.
• Disputes & External Legal Coordination
• Assist in handling disputes, claims, litigation matters, and legal proceedings.
• Prepare legal memoranda, supporting documents, and legal analysis related to disputes.
• Coordinate with external legal advisors, consultants, and law firms as required.
• Follow up on legal cases and ensure proper documentation and reporting.
• Legal Documentation & Knowledge Management
• Develop and maintain legal templates, standards, and contract repositories.
• Ensure proper record management of contracts and legal documentation.
• Capture and share legal knowledge, lessons learned, and best practices.
• Support awareness activities regarding legal obligations and contractual requirements.
• Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Academic and professional qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Law, Sharia Law, Legal Studies, Business Law, or a related field.

Years and Nature of Experience

• 2–4 years of experience in legal affairs, legal advisory, contract management, or corporate legal services.
• Experience in reviewing and drafting contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
• Exposure to providing legal support and guidance to business units.
• Familiarity with legal compliance requirements and legal risk considerations.
• Good knowledge of applicable Saudi laws and regulations
