Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchasing Officer to join our team at IFMI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our company's procurement activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchases of goods and services while maintaining the highest level of quality. The Purchasing Officer will play a crucial role in maintaining our company's reputation and contributing to its growth and success. Key Responsibilities: • Source and purchase materials, equipment, and supplies for the company while maintaining the highest level of quality and value• Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices and terms for purchases
• Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness
• Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels to ensure smooth production and timely delivery to customers
• Generate and process purchase orders and invoices in a timely manner
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors
• Work closely with the production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of goods
• Conduct market research and keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
• Review and analyse purchase requests, and coordinate with the relevant departments to ensure accurate and timely delivery
• Monitor and report on key procurement metrics to management
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and international trade regulations Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a purchasing role, preferably in a modern industries company
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Proven track record in cost reduction and supplier management
• Knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
