JOB SUMMARY :
A Radiology Registrar is responsible for performing, interpreting, and reporting assigned radiological examinations using the PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) . The role includes ensuring timely and accurate reporting, providing safe patient care during procedures, and working closely with consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform and interpret radiological examinations accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare, review, and approve radiology reports promptly.
- Manage complex cases and provide appropriate clinical consultation.
- Provide patient-centered care and ensure patient safety during procedures.
- Supervise and support junior doctors and residents.
- Participate in teaching, training, research, and quality-improvement activities.
- Follow evidence-based practices, hospital policies, and professional standards.
- Participate in emergency and urgent radiology services.
- Maintain continuous professional development and stay updated with advances in radiology.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education :
- Graduate from a medical school of good standing.
- Completion of required period of training in Radiology
- MS degree with 2 years of experience.
Professional Experience
- From 2 to 4 years of experience after certification.
- A registered member of the Saudi Board Council is preferable.
Language
- Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.
