Commissioning Coordinator (Saudi National Only)

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically capable Commissioning Coordinator to support commissioning activities for major mission-critical and data center projects in KSA.

The role will support the Commissioning Manager in coordinating commissioning readiness, tracking L1–L5 commissioning activities , maintaining commissioning documentation, monitoring open issues and corrective actions, and coordinating contractors, consultants, vendors, and project stakeholders through testing, turnover, and handover.

The ideal candidate will have practical knowledge of mission-critical MEP systems, commissioning processes, testing documentation, and project handover, with strong organizational, coordination, and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and maintenance of the Project Commissioning Management Plan .

• Coordinate commissioning activities across contractors, consultants, vendors, and project stakeholders.

• Maintain and update commissioning schedules, trackers, dashboards, and progress reports.

• Track commissioning readiness against project milestones and stage-gate requirements.

• Support coordination of L1–L5 commissioning activities , Functional Performance Testing, and Integrated Systems Testing.

• Coordinate test schedules, witnessing requirements, vendor attendance, and required project resources.

• Maintain commissioning test scripts, procedures, method statements, inspection records, and supporting documentation.

• Track commissioning submissions, approvals, comments, and outstanding documentation.

• Monitor commissioning issues, punch items, deficiencies, and corrective actions through closure.

• Support readiness assessments by ensuring required documentation, systems, personnel, and prerequisites are available.

• Coordinate with contractors and vendors to resolve outstanding commissioning actions and documentation gaps.

• Assist in maintaining commissioning issue logs, action registers, and risk trackers.

• Verify that commissioning test records, certificates, reports, and turnover packages are properly compiled and submitted.

• Coordinate system turnover and handover documentation with construction, commissioning, document control, and operations teams.

• Support preparation of commissioning progress reports, dashboards, meeting minutes, and management updates.

• Organize commissioning meetings and follow up on assigned actions and deadlines.

• Escalate significant commissioning delays, constraints, risks, and readiness gaps to the Commissioning Manager.

• Support final project acceptance and operational readiness activities.

• Maintain accurate records within electronic commissioning management and document control systems.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering , or a related engineering discipline.

• Relevant experience supporting commissioning activities on construction, mission-critical, industrial, or data center projects.

• Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, controls, and mission-critical MEP systems.

• Familiarity with commissioning planning, testing, documentation, and handover processes.

• Understanding of L1–L5 commissioning processes .

• Exposure to Functional Performance Testing and Integrated Systems Testing.

• Experience maintaining commissioning trackers, issue logs, action registers, and testing documentation.

• Good understanding of turnover documentation, test records, certificates, and handover packages.

• Strong coordination and organizational skills.

• Ability to follow multiple commissioning activities and priorities simultaneously.

• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, consultants, vendors, engineers, and project management teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience on data center or mission-critical projects .

• Exposure to hyperscale data center commissioning environments.

• Familiarity with ASHRAE commissioning guidelines .

• Familiarity with CSA, BSRIA, or other recognized commissioning standards and frameworks.

• Commissioning-related certification such as CxA, ACG, BCxP , or equivalent is advantageous.

• Experience using electronic commissioning management systems.

• Experience with electronic document control and turnover platforms.

• Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary MEP commissioning activities.

• Previous experience working within a PMC, consultant, or client-side project management environment is advantageous.
