Job Description Summary

Rewinding and repair of generator rotors and stators.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Removal of old windings on generator rotor or stator.
  • Rewinding of generator rotor or stator.
  • Repair of generator winding and insulation systems in GEMTEC or on site if required.
  • Inspection of hardware and consumables required for rewinding works.
  • Standard electrical testing to be performed during rewinding activities.
  • Final visual inspection of rotor and stator.
  • Electrical testing of generators.
  • Maintenance of tools and equipment in service workshop.
  • Write reports / protocols.
  • All further activities in connection with generator rewinding and repair.
  • Support spin pit team if required.
  • Other activities as assigned by superiors.
  • Assure all works are proceeded in compliance to the GE's Environmental-, Health & Safety- as well as Ethic & Compliances-rules.

Required Qualifications

  • Execution of rewinding and repair work as per technical instructions and instruction from Lead winder.
  • Should be able to understand windings and mechanical assembly drawings.

Desired Characteristics

  • Minimum 3 years' experience with winding of turbogenerators > 25 MW.
  • Experience in performing manual winding work of turbo generators.
  • Working experience in a production environment.
  • Sound knowledge of winding processes.
  • Sound knowledge of operating induction heating machines.
  • Good knowledge of common IT office tools.
  • Experience in carrying out dimensional measurements.
  • Experience in mechanical assembly activities related to Generator.
