Biomedical Technician - Abha- ابها

Diaverum

Biomedical Technician

Diaverum is a Swedish-born, multinational healthcare organisation providing life-enhancing renal care to patients with chronic kidney disease. With more than 15,000 employees across 25 countries, and over 1,400 colleagues in 33 cities and towns across the Kingdom, we combine global experience with strong local presence. Our vision is to transform renal care by broadening access to high-quality kidney care. This is enabled by our standardised care delivery model, continuously evolving digital and AI capabilities, and people who care with competence, passion and inspiration.
At Diaverum Saudi Arabia, biomedical maintenance is more than technical work. It is the foundation that keeps our clinics running and our patients safe. Every machine that works as it should and every maintenance check completed on time is what allows our clinical teams to focus on delivering care.
Our clinics across the Kingdom run on standardised care delivery and reliable equipment. Dialysis machines and water treatment systems must perform to specification every session, for every patient. As we expand our clinic network, we need technicians who maintain that standard with precision and without shortcuts.
We are now looking for a Biomedical Technician who installs, maintains and repairs medical equipment across our dialysis clinics, keeping every machine running safely and every patient on schedule.

The Role

Biomedical Technician is responsible for the installation, preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance of medical equipment across our dialysis clinics. You respond to service requests, carry out scheduled maintenance and keep equipment performing to manufacturer specifications under the direction of the Regional Biomedical Supervisor.
You will report to the Regional Biomedical Supervisor and work closely with clinic administration, medical teams and other biomedical technicians across your assigned clinics.

What You Will Do

You will keep medical equipment across your assigned clinics installed, maintained and running without interruption.
Your responsibilities will include:
•    Execute installation of new medical equipment including all pre-installation activities, in line with manufacturer requirements and approved layouts.
•    Perform scheduled preventive maintenance for all medical equipment within assigned clinics, following manufacturer recommendations and Diaverum PPM plans.
•    Respond promptly to service requests and carry out corrective maintenance and repairs to minimise equipment downtime.
•    Document all activities accurately and on time, including installations, maintenance, spare parts used and equipment condition.
•    Carry out emergency repairs, equipment transfers and dismantling as directed by the Regional Biomedical Supervisor.
•    Provide technical support and coverage to other clusters when required.
•    Maintain service tools and specialised equipment in clean, safe and operational condition.

Who You Are

You are hands-on, well-organised and take ownership of your assigned equipment and schedule. You work independently across multiple sites and know when to escalate.
•    You will be well-suited to this role if you:
•    Bring solid mechanical and electrical knowledge with field troubleshooting experience.
•    Read and interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams.
•    Document your work accurately and report to your supervisor without needing to be followed up.
•    Communicate clearly with clinic staff and colleagues across different sites.
•    Are comfortable with frequent travel within and across cluster cities.

Experience and Qualifications

We are looking for someone with real, hands-on experience in biomedical or medical equipment maintenance.

What we need:
•    Diploma in Biomedical Engineering.
•    Minimum of 3 years of experience in biomedical engineering; dialysis field experience is preferred.
•    Speaks and writes in Arabic and English fluently
•    Ability to travel extensively, up to 80% of working time

What you need to be able to do:
•    Preventive and corrective maintenance in a clinical or hospital environment.
•    Installation and commissioning of medical equipment.
•    Service documentation using helpdesk systems or approved reporting formats.
•    Coordinating with clinic teams on equipment-related operational needs.

What gives you an edge:
•    Experience with dialysis machines or RO water treatment systems.
•    Factory technical training from a recognised medical equipment manufacturer.
•    Knowledge of safety regulations, industry standards and OSHA guidelines.
•    Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
•    Experience working across multiple clinic sites or clusters.

What Makes This Role Meaningful

When a dialysis machine is down, a patient misses their treatment. Your work as a Biomedical Technician is what keeps that from happening. Every installation you complete, every preventive check you run and every fault you resolve on time is a direct contribution to patient safety.

Ready to Make a Difference?

If you have the technical skills, the discipline to stay on schedule and the commitment to work across multiple sites in a clinical environment, apply. We review every application.
