Job Description Summary

GA SABAP Cluster Substation Automation Engineer executes Digital Control System (DCS) engineering activities for the projects assigned considering the quality/cost/ time. This role involves the of project design activities in line with the engineering process. The successful candidate will be responsible for the performance of design engineering activities for the project assigned and will coordinate with cross functional teams customers and suppliers to ensure timely and efficient project line with the Saudization requirements preference will be given to qualified Saudi nationals.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Execute the DCS Engineering activities for the projects assigned considering the quality/cost/ time
• Mandays optimization during OTR stage
• Liaise with other members of a multidisciplinary team to specify and design the project whilst meeting the required technical standards
• Preparation of all applicable production documentations needed for panels integration
• Control projects effectively in terms of budgeted profitability planning and general reporting (internal / external)
• Ensure ontime delivery of design to stakeholders with suitable quality including partner documents
• Participate and contribute to the project multidisciplinary design reviews according to PL procedures and per the project strategy
• Participate to project strategy elaboration with PMand manage design issues up to resolution
• Identify track and manage potential exception and represents customer interests in the design decisions at PM request
• Validate design throughout customer acceptanceand check consistency of engineering documents before final release to customerwhile managing evolution of customer requirements & associated impacts
• Support site organization during site preparation and commissioning stage when requiredand ensure compliance with Quality Procedures work instructions and processes defined at Unit and project level
• FAT preparation and conduct internal validation followed by customer FAT to ensure successful project delivery
• Demonstrate EHS compliance and ensure Zero Deviation Plan is implemented within the team and setting the example by demonstrating the proper acts and actively observes work conditions and behaviors giving constructive feedback and celebrating EHS effective prevention
• Effectively communicate directly with customers to ensure excellent customer service and to build and maintain customer intimacy
• Participate in cost reduction process through standardization and out of the box ideas that optimize the provided solutions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering fields preferably electrical engineer
• 3 years minimum relevant experience in substation automation projects
• Deep knowledge of prepare design documents for substation automation projects
• Deep knowledge of prepare substation automation configuration/database
• Ability to conduct FAT with reference to project specification
• Good experience in IEC61850 IEC101 IEC104 and other substation automation communication protocols
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic
• Ability and willingness to travel across the region
