The role

We are looking for a Marketplace Operations Manager to lead the quality and reliability of Barakah's day-to-day marketplace operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can keep a live operation running well while continuously improving how it works. You will bring together customer experience, merchant operations, external partners, and internal teams to solve problems, raise standards, and make the marketplace more dependable.

You will be expected to understand what is happening on the ground, make sound decisions, and turn recurring issues into lasting improvements. The role suits someone who can balance immediate operational priorities with longer-term process and team development.

What you will own

• Marketplace reliability and a consistent customer experience from purchase through collection or delivery.
• Customer service performance, including quality, responsiveness, fair resolution, and team development.
• Merchant operational quality, working with merchant-facing teams to clarify standards and improve execution.
• The operational performance of delivery and other service partners.
• Cross-functional coordination with Product, Engineering, Commercial, Finance, and Data to resolve operational issues and deliver practical improvements.
• Clear processes, ownership, and ways of working that help the operation scale effectively.
• The development of a capable, accountable operations team with strong judgment and customer focus.

What we are looking for

• Relevant experience leading customer, marketplace, e-commerce, logistics, or service operations.
• Evidence that you have improved an existing operation, not only maintained one.
• Strong people leadership, with the ability to coach, delegate, set expectations, and build accountability.
• Practical problem-solving and sound judgment, particularly when information is incomplete or priorities compete.
• Confidence working across functions and with external partners to move issues from discussion to resolution.
• Comfort using data and frontline insight to understand performance and decide where to focus.
• Professional Arabic and working English.
