Job Description

The Program Manager is responsible for ensuring from start to finish the delivery of medium‑complexity projects on time and in accordance with the negotiated Scope of Work. The Program Manager is expected to manage a virtual team comprising Customer Contacts, Fortinet Sales, Professional Services, and Technical Support to ensure a technically sound, financially profitable, supportable implementation. The position requires an individual with exceptional negotiation, written, and verbal communication skills who follows a structured approach for implementing IT security solutions. The Program Manager should have a background in business skills, management, budgeting, and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships to understand the needs and requirements of the customer's projects.
• Manage the relationship with the customers and all stakeholders; develop, negotiate, and build a Scope of Work, WBS, and project schedules to match the needs of the projects.
• Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities; ensure resource availability and allocation in alignment with project plans.
• Work closely with all customer-facing Fortinet functions, including sales, operations, order management, and support to coordinate activities.
• Coordinate internal resources and outsourced resources for the flawless execution of projects.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs; measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
• Report and elevate issues to management as needed.
• Manage escalations with all levels internally and externally to achieve success.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Effectively apply Fortinet's methodology and enforce project standards.
• Perform risk management to minimize Fortinet's exposure and risk on projects.
• Determine appropriate revenue recognition; ensure timely and accurate invoicing, and monitor receivables for the project.
• Accurately forecast revenue, profitability, margins, bill rates, and utilization.
• Ensure project legal documents are completed and signed.
• Facilitate team and customer meetings effectively.
• Communicate difficult or sensitive information tactfully.

Job Requirements

• Approximately 5 years in a similar position.
• Technical understanding of security and networking projects.
• Exceptional organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi‑tasking.
• Outstanding negotiation, oral communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience working with global enterprises, MSSP, carrier, and governmental customers.
• Ability to work independently and in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment.
• Adaptability to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• React promptly and efficiently to project adjustments and alterations.
• Flexibility during times of change.
• Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.

• Strong commitment and self‑driven work ethic.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in business or management discipline and/or equivalent work‑related experience.
• PMP and/or PRINCE II certification would be a plus.
