Mechanical Technician

Job Summary

Responsible for performing mechanical maintenance, repair, inspection, and troubleshooting activities for industrial equipment and machinery within Dry Port / Port operations. Ensure operational efficiency and equipment reliability through preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Support smooth functioning of mechanical systems while maintaining safety and quality standards

Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting activities for equipment and machinery
• Inspect, repair, and maintain pumps, compressors, conveyors, rotating equipment, and mechanical systems
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance activities as per maintenance schedules
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs efficiently
• Support installation, dismantling, and alignment of mechanical equipment
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, technical manuals, and equipment specifications
• Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams for maintenance execution
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and operational standards
• Maintain maintenance reports, records, and inspection documentation
• Respond to emergency equipment breakdowns and support restoration activities

Mandatory Requirements

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance activities
• Experience in Dry Port / Port / Industrial environment preferred
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and rotating equipment
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and technical documents
• Basic communication and coordination skills
• Willingness to work overtime and rotational shifts if required
