Instrument Technician II

Responsible for ensuring instrument assets are reliable and available to keep process units in operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate activities of maintenance technicians, ensuring compliance with preventive maintenance plans and efficient breakdown maintenance on instrument systems, equipment, and facilities within the area of influence.
• Execute monthly and weekly maintenance plans, control, and submit progress reports on a regular basis.
• Provide onsite maintenance and repairs on all types of instruments such as generators, transformers, and motors.
• Ensure maintenance activities adhere to standards, specifications, safety procedures, manufacturer’s recommendations, and contract terms.
• Serve as the focal point for the daily instrument maintenance execution plan, conduct site visits to ensure proper execution, monitor progress, and submit reports to the instrument foreman.
• Maintain records of daily maintenance work against planned programs and prepare work completion reports when applicable.
• Assist in implementing engineering modifications and enhancements to instrument equipment to increase suitability and serviceability.
• Apply proactive safety aptitude and behavior, maintain knowledge of instrument systems and mechanical/electro‑hydraulic systems, and adhere to safety, health, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–6 years of experience in oil & gas maintenance, with a diploma or bachelor’s degree.
• Strong technical understanding of maintenance management of oil & gas facilities.
• Well‑organized, proactive, and possessing excellent communication skills.
• Proven leadership skills within large organizations.
• Judgment under pressure and ability to resolve problems.
• Strategic management abilities and the capacity to achieve business results in a multicultural environment.
