Role Summary
Responsibilities
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize database health, queries, and indexing
- Manage backups, recovery, patching, user access, and security compliance
- Configure high availability solutions (Always On, replication, clustering)
- Provision and manage OCI databases; configure Data Guard, backup policies, and auto-scaling
- Automate operations and manage lifecycle via OCI Console, CLI, and APIs
Technical Skills SQL Server, T-SQL, SSMS, MongoDB Atlas, OCI, PowerShell/Bash, SolarWinds, Nagios, Veeam, Windows Server, Linux
Experience & Education
- 4+ years in database administration (SQL Server focus); MongoDB & OCI experience preferred
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent
- Microsoft Azure DB Administrator certification preferred; OCI certifications a plus
Key Traits: Detail-oriented, strong problem-solver, able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
