Job Description

At SLS The Red Sea, we don’t just welcome guests—we create unforgettable first impressions. As a  Host/Hostess , you will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by warmly welcoming, guiding, and assisting guests throughout their dining journey. As the face of the restaurant, you will create a refined and personalized arrival experience that reflects the bold, stylish, and vibrant spirit of SLS.

Working closely with the F&B team, you will support smooth front-of-house operations by managing guest flow, reservations, seating arrangements, and ensuring every guest interaction reflects SLS standards, service excellence, and genuine hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage guests in a warm, professional, and confident manner aligned with SLS service standards.
• Manage guest seating, table allocations, and dining flow based on reservations and walk-in guests.
• Coordinate with the service team to accommodate guest requests and ensure expectations are met.
• Maintain strong knowledge of menus, special events, seating arrangements, and guest preferences.
• Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and concerns professionally, escalating when required.
• Maintain an organized and welcoming host stand and reception area throughout service.
• Manage reservations accurately using restaurant reservation systems, including guest details and seating plans.
• Confirm reservation information and communicate updates with relevant team members.
• Answer phone calls professionally and assist guests with inquiries and bookings.
• Coordinate with the kitchen, service, and bar teams to support efficient service flow.
• Assist with side duties such as menu preparation, table resets, and maintaining the entrance area.
• Maintain SLS grooming and appearance standards while representing the brand with confidence and professionalism.
• Follow all health, safety, hygiene, and company service standards.
• Contribute to a positive team environment through collaboration and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1–2 years experience in a guest-facing role, preferably within a luxury hotel, upscale restaurant, or lifestyle hospitality environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality-related education is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are highly desirable.
• Confident, welcoming, and professional personality with a passion for guest service.
• Ability to manage busy service periods while remaining calm, organized, and attentive.
• Experience using POS systems and reservation platforms is an advantage.
• Flexible availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
• Well-groomed and professional appearance in line with SLS brand standards.
