Position Title:
Servers & Storage Support – Backup Specialist

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

Experience:
2–4 years of experience in backup administration, storage management, and disaster recovery

Monthly Salary Package:
15,000 – 17,000 SAR

Qualifications & Skills:

• Hands-on experience with enterprise backup solutions and media management
• Knowledge of full, incremental, differential backups and restoration processes
• Experience with operating system, application, and database restores
• Familiarity with backup policies, storage policies, schedules, and backup sets
• Strong understanding of media management , including import/export, scratch pools, and off-site storage
• Experience reviewing backup logs, events, alerts, and reports
• Knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery best practices
• Ability to perform on-demand backups and create/manage backup sets
• Familiarity with configuring email alerts for backup operations
• Strong documentation and reporting skills
• Ability to maintain security, reliability, and availability of backup services
• Knowledge of industry best practices for backup and data protection

Responsibilities:

• Ensure regular and secure backup of all business-critical information to enable recovery in case of system failure or IT disaster
• Perform daily administration of backup operations, reviewing logs, reports, and alerts
• Manage backup types, storage policies, scheduled backups, and backup sets
• Manage restoration of files, system databases, applications, and mapped network drives
• Manage backup media including importing, exporting, and media housekeeping
• Perform full, incremental, differential, and on-demand backups
• Adhere to IT Systems Operations department backup strategy based on business requirements
• Ensure archived tapes and backup media are properly stored on-site or off-site
• Ensure timely restoration of required files according to procedures and business continuity plans
• Perform routine backup and recovery operations to maximize service availability
• Preserve transaction data, historical files, and critical customer data
• Implement industry best practices within backup service management
