QA/QC Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented QA/QC Engineer to support quality assurance and quality control activities for major mission-critical and data center projects in KSA.

The role will be responsible for conducting site inspections, monitoring contractor compliance, reviewing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), supporting NCR management, maintaining quality records, and ensuring construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, procedures, contractual requirements, and applicable quality standards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on QA/QC experience on large-scale construction, infrastructure, EPC, PMC, or mission-critical projects and a practical understanding of ISO 9001, inspection processes, NCRs, quality documentation, and construction quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct QA/QC inspections and surveillance activities across assigned construction works.

• Verify that construction activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, contractual requirements, method statements, procedures, and applicable quality standards.

• Perform FOK, installation, PUE, and other required project quality inspections.

• Review and monitor contractor Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) , checklists, inspection requests, and supporting quality records.

• Witness inspections and testing activities in accordance with approved ITPs.

• Identify non-conforming work and support the preparation and issuance of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) .

• Monitor NCRs through corrective action and closure and escalate unresolved or recurring quality issues to the QA/QC Manager.

• Support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

• Monitor workmanship, materials, installations, and construction activities for compliance with project requirements.

• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, vendors, discipline engineers, and project teams to resolve quality-related issues.

• Review material inspection requests, work inspection requests, test records, certificates, and related quality documentation.

• Maintain accurate inspection records, quality reports, NCR logs, punch lists, and supporting evidence.

• Support internal and external quality audits and surveillance activities.

• Identify recurring quality issues, trends, and areas of concern and report them to the QA/QC Manager.

• Assist in preparing quality KPIs, reports, dashboards, and project quality statistics.

• Support testing, commissioning, punch-list closeout, handover, and final quality documentation.

• Verify completion and availability of quality records required for system and project handover.

• Promote compliance with the Project Quality Management Plan and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

• Support implementation of the Project Quality Management System across assigned work packages.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering , or a related engineering discipline.

• Relevant QA/QC engineering experience on construction, infrastructure, EPC, PMC, or major capital projects.

• Hands-on experience with site inspections, ITPs, inspection requests, quality documentation, and NCR management.

• Good understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems .

• Experience reviewing construction activities against approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project quality requirements.

• Experience identifying non-conformances and following corrective actions through closure.

• Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes.

• Strong documentation, reporting, and record-management skills.

• Ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, consultants, vendors, and multidisciplinary project teams.

• Strong communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience on hyperscale data center or mission-critical projects .

• Previous experience within a PMC, consultant, EPC, or major contractor environment.

• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor, Lead Auditor, Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or equivalent quality certification.

• Familiarity with electronic Quality Management Systems and document control platforms.

• Experience supporting commissioning quality activities and handover documentation.

• Knowledge of international construction quality standards and best practices.

• Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and associated QA/QC requirements.

• Experience preparing quality reports, dashboards, NCR statistics, and quality performance metrics.
