Faculty Member in Psychiatric Nursing

Batterjee Medical College is seeking a qualified and dedicated Faculty Member in Psychiatric Nursing to join the Nursing Program . The role focuses on delivering high-quality academic and clinical education, supporting student development, and promoting evidence-based mental health nursing practices in alignment with accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Clinical Education
- Deliver Psychiatric Nursing lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions, and clinical training
- Supervise students during clinical rotations in mental health and psychiatric care settings
- Facilitate simulation activities, case-based learning, and therapeutic communication training
- Teach evidence-based nursing care for patients with mental health and psychiatric disorders
- Utilize LMS (Blackboard) and digital teaching tools effectively
- Prepare and administer assessments, assignments, and clinical evaluations
- Maintain accurate academic and clinical records
Student Support & Development
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to nursing students
- Support development of therapeutic communication, critical thinking, and patient-centered care skills
- Monitor student performance and provide constructive feedback
Research & Scholarly Activities
- Participate in research, academic conferences, and scholarly activities
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous program improvement
Academic Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with academic policies and accreditation standards (e.g., NCAAA)
- Participate in quality assurance activities, committees, and program reporting
- Submit course files and required academic documentation on time
Community Engagement
- Participate in mental health awareness campaigns and community outreach initiatives aligned with the college mission
Requirements
- Master’s in Nursing with specialization in Psychiatric / Mental Health Nursing
- Clinical experience in psychiatric or mental health nursing required
- Teaching experience in nursing education preferred
- Familiarity with simulation-based teaching and modern educational technologies
- Experience with LMS (Blackboard) and digital learning platforms
