Job Description

Contract Administration

• Lead the administration and management of all project contracts in accordance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
• Interpret contract terms and conditions and provide contractual guidance to project teams.
• Monitor contract performance and ensure compliance with all contractual requirements.
• Maintain contract records, correspondence, notices, and documentation.
• Ensure proper execution and close-out of contracts.

Claims & Change Management

• Manage the preparation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution of claims, disputes, and variations.
• Assess contractual entitlement related to extensions of time (EOT), disruption, acceleration, and additional costs.
• Lead the review and analysis of contractor and subcontractor claims.
• Support dispute avoidance and resolution strategies.
• Coordinate with legal teams when contractual disputes arise.

Commercial Management

• Advise project leadership on commercial and contractual risks.
• Review commercial implications of project changes and deviations.
• Monitor contractual liabilities, obligations, and opportunities.
• Support cost control and project controls teams in assessing financial impacts of contractual matters.
• Ensure commercial protection of the company's interests throughout project execution.

Procurement & Subcontract Management

• Support tendering, bid evaluation, and contract award processes.
• Review Requests for Proposals (RFPs), tender documents, and commercial agreements.
• Manage subcontractor contractual performance and compliance.
• Develop and implement contract administration procedures for suppliers and subcontractors.

Risk Management

• Identify contractual and commercial risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Participate in project risk reviews and governance meetings.
• Maintain a contractual risk register and track mitigation actions.
• Advise project management on potential contractual exposure.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary contractual interface between the client, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Lead commercial and contractual meetings with project participants.
• Support senior management in negotiations and strategic decision-making.
• Prepare contractual and commercial reports for executive management.

Leadership & Governance

• Lead and mentor Contracts Engineers, Commercial Officers, and Contract Administrators.
• Ensure alignment with project governance and contract management best practices.
• Promote continuous improvement in contract administration processes.
• Support lessons learned and contract closeout activities.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• Master's Degree in Construction Law, Commercial Management, or MBA is preferred.

Professional Certifications (Preferred)

• MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors)
• CCM (Certified Commercial Manager)
• PMP (Project Management Professional)
• MCIArb (Chartered Institute of Arbitrators)
• FIDIC Contract Management Certification

• Minimum 18 years of experience in contract administration, commercial management, and claims management.
• Minimum 10 years in major rail, metro, railway, transportation, or infrastructure projects.
