Facilities and Maintenance Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Facilities and Maintenance Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Management of maintenance employee relationships;
- Arrange for routine maintenance in hotel rooms, lobbies and facilities (e.g. kitchens, public areas etc.);
- Plan and oversee daily, weekly maintenance duties and renovations;
- Maintains the hotel facility and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner;
- Update the maintenance work order form / Job card and file them;
- Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed;
- Must have the ability to interpret readings from meters & gauges and other measuring units;
- Inspect hotel regularly to ensure it meets safety standards;
- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers;
- Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment;
- Must have the ability to prioritize and organize work assignments;
- Supervise, direct and manage the Maintenance team;
- Organize repair projects in a manner that does not disturb guests;
- Understand and operate electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and air-conditioning systems;
- Must have the ability to focus attention on details, speed and accuracy.
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems and air conditioning;
- Is proficient in the safe handling of all relevant equipment and machinery;
- Must have the ability to follow instruction;
- Must be fluent in English;
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in hotels or hospitality companies;
- Must be reliable and trustworthy;
- Must have Matric and a Mechanical/Electrical Qualification;
- Must have experience in hospitality establishments;
- Must be able to work when required in emergency situations;
- Must be able towork when required in emergency situations.
