Our company is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure overall project budget and cash flow are prepared timely and construction costs and variation orders are controlled within the budget;
  • Preparing and analyzing costing for tenders;
  • Calling off estimating, planning, auditing and cost planning activities as necessary;
  • Cash flow forecast;
  • Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations;
  • Life-cycle costing;
  • Construction phase cost management;
  • Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use;
  • Performing risk and value management and cost control;
  • To carry out site measurement for all the work done from time to time;
  • Prepare/approve and issue payment certificates and ensure that they are in accordance with the requirements of the contract;
  • Ensure all progress claims are verified up to the final claim certification, inclusive of the preparation of final accounts for all contracts;
  • Analyzing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports;
  • Measurement of quantities based on design drawings;
  • Responsible for negotiation, pre and post contract management including preparation of final accounts.

Requirements:

  • BSc: Quantity Surveying;
  • BSc/BTech in Quantity Surveying;
  • Experience in cost monitoring/reporting and budget tracking;
  • Experience in procurement and management;
  • Responsible;
  • Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to work independently;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills;
  • Cost Estimating Software;
  • Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mandarin;
  • Must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree/Professional License in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical);
  • Reviews, analyzes, recommends and obtains quotations of subcontractors and vendors;
  • Monitors the result tenders and updates the concerned departments;
  • Ten (10) years relevant quantity surveying experience in large infrastructure projects;
  • Willing to travel or relocated;
  • 15 minutes from KLIA Airport.
