Resident Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Resident Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Create incident tickets based on customer support requests;
- Liaise with customer for detailed information about the incident;
- Ensure all field engineer activities are raised with appropriate ticket;
- Perform basic qualification and escalate ticket to field support engineer;
- Track and ensure ticket service level (SLA) is met;
- Provide updates to customer for on-going cases;
- Attempt first call resolution for simple incident;
- Create weekly incident summary for technical services manager to review.
Requirements:
- Professionally registered with ECSA;
- 10-12 years experience;
- Must be conversant with modern project management technique;
- 15 years cumulative appropriate experience;
- BSc Engineering/ B. Engineering Degree;
- Experience on erection of cable supported bridge will be advantageous;
- Previous experience on projects of similar magnitude & value;
- BSc: Civil Engineering;
- Experience managing SANRAL projects;
- Vast experience in GCC, FIDIC, COLTO and SANS contracts;
- Great communication and people skills;
- National Diploma: Civil Engineering;
- Specialisation gained in roads projects, both national and provincial;
- Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, Civil Designer.
