Accountant (BCom) Job Description Template

Our company is looking for a Accountant (BCom) to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare divisional charge journal;
  • Prepare VAT return;
  • Review GL recons monthly;
  • Year-end accounting pack;
  • Full house accounting function;
  • Control GL posting;
  • Take responsibility and review the stock-take process;
  • Monthly management accounts, profit estimates, forward forecasts, divisional reports etc;
  • Insurance renewal documents;
  • Assist staff with problem areas in your units;
  • Capex control and maintaining the fixed asset register;
  • Manage day-to-day accounting issues;
  • Assist with loan account balancing;
  • Monthly tax computations and tax packs;
  • Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts.

Requirements:

  • Syspro an advantage;
  • Accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Newly qualified B.Com (Accounting);
  • Basic computer literacy (MS Excel);
  • 1 – 3 Years working experience, will be an advantage.
