Job Purpose

Specialized in designing and commissioning of Security systems to optimize the operational security strategy, policies and procedures and ensure alignment with RSG design guidelines, National regulations / guidelines, international standards and industry best practices to support the development of a secure environment on projects within RSG.

Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Contribution

Contribute to the development of the technical security strategy aligned with achieving the RSG vision and mission.
Ensure that the design of the security systems is designed in compliance to the technical security strategy and to optimize operational security capability.
Validate & check technical documents and design drawings for Security and IT / Communications Systems during all project planning, construction, and commissioning phases.

Budget

Contribute to the preparation of the functional budget and provide ideas to capitalize on opportunities for continuous improvement and waste elimination.

Security

Responsible for Design of Security systems along with related IT and communication systems.
Support the preparation of Security System design guidelines, specifications, and drawings for RSG sites.
Establish solid understanding of the projects throughout the project phases via documentation and site visits.
Attend all relevant meetings to the security discipline as required.
Testing and analyzing assets for potential security threats. Identifying possible security threats and determining the best security measures.
Support the preparation of bids, specifications and tendering process for security and related IT and communication systems.
Ensure detailed minutes are taken within all meetings attended by the security design team and ensure they are validated and filed accordingly.
Maintain accurate filing processes to support efficient document control.
Compiling and presenting reports on system test results.
Suggesting improvements to existing security systems.
Support the review and approvals of all Security systems design and drawings.
Remaining up to date with the latest security systems, tools, trends, and technology.
Should be a SME on Physical Access Control Systems, methodology and applications.
Should be a SME on Video Surveillance Systems, methodology and applications.
Should be a SME on Intruder detection systems, methodology and applications.
Should be a SME on Physical Security hardware, methodology and applications.
Should be familiar with Physical Security methodology, treatments, and applications.
Should have working knowledge in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Planning
(DRP).
Liaise with Local suppliers / Contractors to ensure adherence to standards and scope of works as per standards.
Coordinate with design managers undertaking close-out work in all stages of the design development.

Policies, Systems, Processes, Procedures, Standards and Reports

Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely functional statements and reports to meet corporate and functional requirements, policies, and standards.
Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of Security function’s systems, processes and practices considering ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.

Job Requirements:

Qualification and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electronics Engineering or similarly technical area
(minimum).
Minimum 10 years relevant experience required in a Security Systems SME role of a medium-to-large scale construction project.
Relevant experience at managing multiple projects in Middle East required. Design experience in various types of buildings.
Evidencable experience in the security field, specific to security systems with working knowledge of related IT and communication systems.
Evidencable experience in preparation of Security systems design and specification and engineering drawings.
Proficient knowledge of quality-oriented, design and engineering procedures.
Sound knowledge of design software (Revit, CAD etc.) and various codes and standards.
In-depth knowledge of security procedures and surveillance equipment.
Be well versed with Security systems design best practices.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated skills in collaboration, teamwork, and problem-solving to achieve goals.
Ability to adhere to Company policies, procedures, guidelines, and work requirements.
