PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:-
-Develop and monitor compliance with ALL EHS&S regulatory
requirements.
-Track EH&S performance against formal EHS&S KPI’s
-Pre-approval of contractor safety related documents, using a
proprietary document control system
-Calling upon other safety resources as necessary to ensure adequate
cover of the compliance program in all areas
-Inspecting and auditing the JIGPC site on a weekly, monthly and
quarterly basis throughout the commissioning and start-up phases
Via the audit program, highlight compliance with all EH&S
requirements and escalate as appropriate through the ongoing
continuous improvement practices
-Ensure all chemical documentation (MSDS / COSHH) is recorded in a
database and shared at strategic locations throughout the JIGPC
facility.
-Ensure prompt follow up of corrective action plans resulting from
audits
-Maintain an EH&S tracking register and monitor compliance with
EH&S priorities.
-When required and requested take part in Contractor and subcontractor
kick off meetings.
-Undertake formal HAZID for each of the disentanglement Project
scopes
-Ensuring Commissioning & IPMT Contractors safety programs and safe
work practices are reviewed, and monitored on an ongoing basis
-Demonstrating a strong leadership commitment throughout the
project phases
-Actively participating in and leading safety promotion events,
competitions, established programs
Maintaining open and effective communication channels with all
members of the commissioning and start-up team(s).
Support Training Competency Assurance Manager and communicate
gaps and compliance deficiencies.
Lead/Support incident investigations and RCA’s when required
Assist the EH&S Manager in ensuring the Project EHS&S plan(s) are
implemented.
Providing leadership to ensure prompt prioritization and coordination
of all unforeseen issues at the site, escalating to the JIGPC EH&S
Manager as required.
Help in ensuring the EH&S plan is updated on a regular basis in
conjunction with the site management team.
Support the implementation of the safety incentive program
Give input to ensure the accurate completion of the EHS&S section of
the weekly report
Support the implementation and ongoing development of Air
Products safety program elements, APT (Accident Predictive
Technique) SOS, (Safety Outreach System) Safety License, Incentives
and QSA (Quick Safety Observation).
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Engineering degree
NEBOSH IGC
Auditor qualification
10 years’ experience on international mega-Projects working in an
EH&S Leadership role
Strong EH&S management experience of large multi discipline sites
during construction and commissioning phases
Knowledge of EHS&S regulations
Middle East project experience
Experience in large Process Plant Projects in an operating plant
environment. Organized, disciplined, able to perform under pressure
and manage multiple priorities and parallel tasks
Internationally recognized (IOSH / OSHA / Government Sponsored)
short safety or environmental courses
Sologic / TapRooT
Fluent spoken and written English
Thorough knowledge of international standards for management of
Health, Safety, Environment and Risk such as OSHA, NFPA, ISO 14001
and ISO 45001
Being a good team player, good communication and interpersonal
skills
Strong and effective leader and coordinator
Ability to work in a multifaceted / multinational organizational matrix
with a variety of working relationships
Willingness to travel and be based in remote location
Advantages:

Knowledge and experience of EPC management
