We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to join our team and contribute to the success of our organization.

Job Overview:

As the Chief Accountant, you will be reporting to the Finance Manager , And will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the club including maintaining accurate records, preparing financial statements, and providing strategic financial advice to the management team. You will also be responsible for managing a team of accountants and ensuring that all financial operations are conducted efficiently and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and budgets.

• Monitor and analyse financial data and provide strategic financial advice to the management team.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards.

• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.

• Oversee the preparation of tax returns and other financial documents.

• Manage and develop a team of accountants, providing guidance and support as needed.

• Conduct regular audits to ensure financial records are accurate and up-to-date.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure all financial transactions are recorded correctly.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• CPA certification is highly preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the sports industry.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

• Experience with financial reporting and budgeting.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

• Proficient in accounting software and MS Office.

• Attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Fluency in [insert language(s)] is a plus.
