Job Description
- Monitor the hotel premises and ensure compliance with established safety and security procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest areas, back-of-house areas, equipment, and facilities to identify potential safety hazards.
- Report and follow up on unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, and potential risks.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, accidents, fire alarms, and other safety-related situations.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining emergency response and evacuation procedures.
- Ensure that fire safety equipment, emergency exits, alarms, and safety signage are accessible and in proper working condition.
- Support regular fire drills, emergency exercises, and safety training for employees.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to incidents, inspections, and safety observations.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Security, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and other departments to address safety concerns.
- Promote awareness of health, safety, and environmental standards among employees.
- Ensure that employees follow proper safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) where required.
- Assist in investigating accidents and incidents and provide recommendations to prevent recurrence.
- Support compliance with local health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Perform any other safety-related duties assigned by the Safety Manager or management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant safety certification is an advantage.
- Previous experience in a safety, security, hospitality, or related operational role.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety principles and emergency procedures.
- Basic knowledge of fire safety, first aid, and risk assessment.
- Good observation and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make appropriate decisions during emergencies.
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
- Good English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage.
