The Role 

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and passionate Head Waitress to lead the front-of-house service team in a premium dining environment inspired by the elegance of the French and Italian Riviera. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the restaurant floor, supervising the waitstaff, and ensuring smooth, efficient, and professional service throughout every shift. Key Responsibilities

Service Leadership

· Lead and supervise the front-of-house service team during daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.

· Maintain exceptional standards of service, presentation, cleanliness, and professionalism throughout all guest touchpoints.

· Coordinate table assignments, service flow, and communication between the dining room and kitchen.

· Ensure compliance with all health, safety, hygiene, and company operating procedures.

· Assist with opening and closing procedures and ensure the restaurant is fully prepared for service.

Guest Experience

· Deliver warm, personalised, and attentive service that reflects the restaurant's premium positioning.

· Build strong guest relationships and anticipate guest needs to create memorable dining experiences.

· Handle guest enquiries, requests, and complaints professionally, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.

· Monitor service standards and continuously identify opportunities to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.

Team Leadership & Development

· Supervise, motivate, and support the waitstaff throughout each shift.

· Train and mentor new and existing team members on service standards, menu knowledge, and company procedures.

· Lead by example, promoting teamwork, professionalism, and a positive working environment.

· Assist management with performance feedback and ongoing coaching to develop team members.

Operational Excellence

· Ensure all tables, dining areas, and service stations are maintained to the highest standards.

· Monitor stock levels of service equipment, crockery, cutlery, glassware, and operating supplies, reporting shortages as required.

· Coordinate effectively with kitchen, bar, and management teams to ensure seamless service.

· Support inventory control and minimise breakage and waste within the front-of-house operation.

Business Support

· Assist with the implementation of promotional activities, special events, and seasonal menus.

· Promote menu items and beverage recommendations to maximise guest satisfaction and revenue opportunities.

· Support management in achieving operational goals and maintaining the restaurant's premium reputation.

Candidate Profile

Essential Requirements

· Minimum 3 years' experience in upscale restaurant, luxury hospitality, or premium dining service.

· Previous experience as a Head Waitress, Senior Waitress, or Team Leader in a high-volume or fine dining environment.

· Strong knowledge of restaurant service standards, food and beverage operations, and guest relations.

· Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

· Ability to supervise and motivate a service team in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

· Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Preferred

· Experience within upscale, fine dining, luxury hospitality, or internationally recognized restaurant brands.

· Familiarity with French cuisine, European dining standards, or premium lifestyle brands.

· Additional language skills are considered an advantage.
