Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional Executive Chef to lead our culinary operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Executive Assistant Manager and demonstrate the ability to effectively manage priorities while maintaining composure during challenging situations. You will be the visionary leader of our kitchen brigade, inspiring your team to deliver outstanding culinary experiences that exceed guest expectations and reflect the vibrant food culture of the region.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of culinary professionals, fostering an inspiring and inclusive kitchen environment where excellence is celebrated and continuous improvement is encouraged
• Create and execute innovative menus that honor local Saudi Arabian culinary traditions while incorporating contemporary techniques, ensuring all offerings reflect current dining trends and guest preferences
• Maintain unwavering focus on guest satisfaction by delivering superior creative culinary experiences across all venues, from à la carte dining to conferences, events, and unique culinary concepts
• Oversee all kitchen operations with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring exceptional presentation standards, rigorous cost controls, and efficient workflow optimization across all outlets
• Implement and maintain comprehensive programs to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety compliance within the kitchen and related food preparation areas
• Analyze operational efficiency, research best practices, and collaborate with the Executive Assistant Manager to recommend and implement procedures that enhance departmental performance
• Manage kitchen budgets, control food costs, and optimize procurement processes through strategic vendor relationships and inventory management
• Develop and deliver staff training programs focused on culinary skills, food safety protocols, and professional development to elevate team capabilities
• Prepare and submit capital expenditure proposals as required, demonstrating analytical thinking and strategic planning
• Communicate transparently with team members, guests, and stakeholders to ensure organizational goals are achieved and expectations are consistently met

Qualifications

• Recognized culinary trade qualification or equivalent professional certification
• Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience managing a brigade of chefs in a multi-outlet hospitality environment
• Proven expertise in diverse culinary settings including conference and events catering, à la carte restaurants, and unique or specialized venues
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire, develop, and manage diverse teams effectively
• Strong knowledge of Saudi Arabian cuisine, local ingredients, dining preferences, and cultural food practices
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Advanced communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with team members, guests, and cross-functional stakeholders
• Hands-on, problem-solving approach with the ability to make decisive decisions under pressure
• Proficiency in budget management, cost control analysis, and financial planning
• Food safety and hygiene certification (HACCP or equivalent)
• Experience in menu development, culinary innovation, and food trend analysis
• Vendor management and procurement expertise
• Proficiency with kitchen management systems and point-of-sale technology (preferred)
• Flexibility and resilience in adapting to changing operational demands and market conditions
