Job Description

We're looking for a talented and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this hands-on role, you'll work closely with our Sous Chef and Head Chef to support kitchen operations while developing your leadership skills in a fast-paced, professional environment. You'll play a key role in maintaining our commitment to exceptional food quality, consistency, and culinary innovation while fostering a collaborative and inclusive kitchen culture.

• Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring seamless service delivery
• Lead, mentor, and inspire kitchen team members, fostering a positive, collaborative work environment where everyone can thrive
• Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring efficient stock rotation and cost control
• Maintain rigorous food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in compliance with local regulations and organizational protocols
• Coordinate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth communication and exceptional guest experiences
• Assist in menu development, recipe testing, and culinary innovation while maintaining consistency in food quality and presentation
• Train and develop kitchen staff on proper techniques, food handling procedures, and organizational standards
• Manage kitchen workflow and station assignments to optimize efficiency during service
• Troubleshoot operational challenges with creativity and decisiveness, maintaining composure under pressure
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and share constructive feedback to enhance kitchen performance

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar sous chef or kitchen leadership role within a premium or high-volume restaurant environment
• Culinary degree, diploma, or equivalent professional culinary training
• Current Food Handler and HACCP certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen sanitation protocols
• Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate kitchen teams effectively
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to remain calm, focused, and decisive under pressure while maintaining quality standards
• Proficiency with kitchen equipment and familiarity with kitchen management systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach
• Knowledge of international cuisines and culinary techniques is a plus
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
• Passion for culinary excellence and commitment to delivering memorable dining experiences
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
