Transportation sector sales manager

Job description:

Objective of the job:
• Contributing to the development of the transportation department’s business by attracting new customers
• Building business relationships with customers and transport companies
• Managing sales, follow-up and collection operations to achieve the company’s operational and financial objectives

Main tasks and responsibilities:
• Searching for potential clients and attracting new clients from companies and institutions
• Building, developing and maintaining business relationships with customers
• Communicating with transport companies and freight brokers and coordinating with them to provide the required services
• Preparing quotes and negotiating with customers and transport companies to achieve the best returns for the company
• Receiving shipping and transportation requests and following up on their implementation in coordination with the relevant authorities
• Sending vehicle and driver data to customers according to operational requirements
• Follow up on loading and unloading operations and ensure that the service is implemented in accordance with agreed upon requirements
• Issuing quotations and job cards and entering operations into the company’s system
• Follow up on shipping documents and invoices and ensure they are completed and saved in the system
• Coordinating with the Finance Department regarding reviewing and approving invoices
• Follow up on delivering invoices to customers and follow up on collection until payment is completed
• Submitting periodic reports related to sales, customers, and revenues
• Continuous coordination with the operating and financial departments to ensure efficient workflow
• Addressing customer inquiries and solving operational problems to achieve customer satisfaction

Requirements:

No specific academic qualification is required Courses or certifications related to sales, logistics or transportation are preferred It is preferable to have 1 to 3 years of experience in corporate sales, preferably in the field of freight brokerage, logistics services, or the transportation sector. Familiarity with Odoo or similar systems Proficiency in using computers and electronic systems Knowledge of the basics of transportation, logistics, types of trucks and transportation equipment Ability to build relationships and manage customer accounts Ability to work under pressure and achieve sales targets High skills in communication, negotiation and persuasion Follow-up, organization and time management skills
