Private Consultant Ophthalmologist | UHNW Vision Care & Preventive Eye Health Program | Riyadh

Permanent full-time appointment for a Western-trained Consultant Ophthalmologist embedded within a UHNW Family Office healthcare structure in Riyadh.

This role is focused on advanced ophthalmic diagnostics, longitudinal vision care, and preventive eye health management within a high-net-worth population with international travel and multi-residence living.

You will oversee comprehensive ophthalmic assessment including retinal disease screening, glaucoma management, cataract planning, corneal conditions, and neuro-ophthalmic evaluation when required. A strong emphasis is placed on early detection of vision-threatening conditions and long-term preservation of visual function.

The role also integrates executive health considerations such as digital strain management, age-related visual decline prevention, and optimisation of visual performance for high-demand professional and lifestyle environments.

You will coordinate care with international subspecialty ophthalmology centres in Europe, the UK, and the United States, and work within a discreet multidisciplinary framework alongside internal medicine and preventive medicine teams.

Requirements

• Recognised medical degree from UK, Ireland, EU, USA, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand
  
• CCT / Board certification in Ophthalmology
  
• Minimum 8–12 years post-specialisation experience
  
• Strong background in medical and surgical ophthalmology
  
• Experience in private practice or executive/UHNW healthcare environments preferred
  
• Exposure to retinal disease, glaucoma, or anterior segment surgery advantageous
  
• Fluent English essential
  
• High discretion and ability to operate within confidential family structures
  
• Willingness to be based in Riyadh with international travel flexibility
