Job Description

The role reports to the Chief Engineer and the Head of Engineering and is responsible for the system verification and validation of a large security system during and after its deployment. This also includes the acceptance process with the customer. The role is based in Riyadh, but frequent travel to locations in Saudi Arabia is required. Occasional international travel is also expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead verification and validation activities for system releases and customer acceptance events
• Educate other V&V engineers hands-on, in theory and practice, to continuously improve V&V skills of the team
• Write and review test procedures and test reports
• Plan work and deliverables in detail
• Work in a customer-oriented environment and within the cultural environment of Saudi Arabia
• Apply analytical thinking and an engineering mindset
• Work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Maintain strong listening skills to understand customer requirements
• Provide strong service orientation and on-time delivery focus
• Balance cost, quality, and time considerations
• Collaborate as a team player and be cooperative
• Adopt a solution-oriented approach and travel to remote sensor sites as needed
• Demonstrate good written, verbal and presentation skills; explain complex technical concepts effectively
• Fluent in written and spoken English; Arabic communication is desirable

Beneficial Qualifications and Experience

• PMP or ISAQB certification
• Strong engineering background with experience on large integration projects
• Experience interfacing directly with customers
• Experience with a broad range of information technology systems (Networking, Storage, Server, Virtualization, System/Network administration, etc.)
• Detailed experience in relevant information technology and communication solutions
• Driving license

Key Result Areas & Areas Of Accountability

• Experience leading a team of V&V engineers and acting as Domain Lead towards other technical teams
• Drive verification within development teams and support software release verification
• Lead test campaigns for customer acceptance events
• Educate and develop other V&V engineers to extend domain knowledge
• Prepare test documentation and conduct reviews during test campaigns
• Perform system-level V&V for system/customer releases and dedicated test campaigns (load, stress, performance)
• Use tools for V&V tasks (e.g., DOORS, Jira, Quality Center)
• Report problems and support root-cause analysis
• Track bugs and retest fixed issues with close collaboration with the development team
• Act as self-sustained contributor and team lead
