Project Engineer - Instrumentation and Control
((BST: 8:00 - 18:00 (Mon/Thurs) 8:00 - 16:00 (Fri)))
We are looking for a skilled Project Engineer specializing in Instrumentation and Control to join our team in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the design, installation, and maintenance of control systems and instrumentation for our projects in the oil and gas industry. The role requires strong technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing control systems, instrumentation, and automation solutions for oil and gas projects.
- Managing the planning and execution of instrumentation and control engineering projects from concept to completion.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met within the specified timeline and budget.
- Conducting feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost‑benefit analyses for new instrumentation and control projects.
- Performing system integration, troubleshooting, and commissioning of control systems and instrumentation.
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
- Providing technical support and guidance to the project team and addressing any issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- 4 Year degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in the design, installation, and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Proficiency in using industry‑specific software and tools for control system design and programming.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.
- In‑depth knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to instrumentation and control systems.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
