Job Description

We're looking for an experienced and visionary Chief Accountant to join our organization in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee all accounting operations and serve as a strategic financial partner to senior management. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of technical accounting expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity and compliance with Saudi Arabia's regulatory requirements.

• Oversee and manage all daily accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, fixed asset management, and bank reconciliations
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and Saudi regulatory requirements
• Ensure full compliance with Saudi tax regulations, statutory reporting obligations, and internal financial policies
• Direct and manage the month-end and year-end closing processes with meticulous attention to detail and efficiency
• Monitor cash flow, analyze budgets, and track financial performance to support informed business decision-making
• Coordinate internal and external audits, respond to audit findings, and implement corrective actions transparently
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports to guarantee accuracy and completeness
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate accounting staff, fostering professional development and high performance standards
• Support the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, providing analytical insights to guide strategic planning
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices that enhance organizational efficiency
• Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams by providing comprehensive financial analysis and strategic recommendations
• Ensure organizational compliance with all applicable financial regulations and company policies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent qualification (preferred)
• Saudi Certified Public Accountant (SCBA) certification or equivalent Saudi regulatory qualification
• Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience in increasingly responsible roles
• At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in a supervisory or managerial accounting position
• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, taxation, and internal control frameworks
• Proven expertise with ERP systems and modern accounting software platforms
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
• Strong understanding of Saudi Arabia's accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements
• Demonstrated ability to manage month-end and year-end closing processes effectively
• Experience coordinating internal and external audits and managing audit responses
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with a track record of developing accounting professionals
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Experience with strategic financial planning and forecasting
• Demonstrated commitment to transparency, compliance, and ethical financial practices
