General Stores Manager

We are recruiting a  General Stores Manager for our UHNW client who is based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The General Stores Manager is responsible for the efficient management, receipt, storage, and issuance of materials, supplies, and equipment, as well as ensuring that inventory levels are accurately maintained, records are up-to-date, and materials are readily available to support operations. The General Stores Manager will oversee the department, manage staff, and ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders or delivery notes.
• Store items in designated locations in a clean, organised, and secure manner.
• Issue materials, equipment, and supplies to relevant departments accurately and on time.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, stock movements, and discrepancies.
• Conduct regular stock counts, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Handle stock rotation (FIFO / FEFO) to prevent obsolescence or damage.
• Ensure proper handling, labelling, and packaging of materials.
• Adhere to health, safety, and fire regulations in the storage areas.
• Coordinate with procurement, operations, and finance departments for smooth workflow.

Supervisory & Managerial Responsibilities

• Warehouse Operations Management: Oversee all warehouse functions including receiving, inspection, storage, issuing, and dispatch of materials.
• Ensure that all goods are stored and handled according to safety, quality, and operational standards.
• Maintain optimal stock levels to support uninterrupted operations.
• Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) inventory control methods.
• Ensure accurate documentation of material movements and proper use of warehouse management systems (WMS or ERP).
• Inventory Control: Conduct regular cycle counts and annual physical stock checks in coordination with Finance and Internal Audit.
• Investigate and reconcile stock discrepancies and report variances promptly.
• Ensure accurate tagging, coding, and location of all items within the warehouse.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration preferred.
• Previous experience in stores, inventory, procurement, or warehouse operations preferred.
• Knowledge of inventory control, stock rotation, and record-keeping.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems is an advantage.
• Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong English communication skills is preferable.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a similar role with leadership responsibilities.
