Your impact

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the construction supervision of Hyperscale Data Center and Mission-Critical Infrastructure projects across the Middle East. The successful candidate will oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical construction activities throughout project execution.
• Review contractor shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documentation.
• Monitor installation and testing of chilled water systems, cooling plants, HVAC systems, CRAH units, CRAC units, fuel systems, plumbing services, fire protection systems, and associated infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with mission-critical design requirements and redundancy standards.
• Coordinate mechanical works with electrical, ICT, structural, architectural, and commissioning disciplines.
• Support testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing, and handover activities.
• Inspect completed works and verify compliance with approved specifications and quality standards.
• Participate in project meetings and technical reviews.

Here's what you'll need

Qualifications & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional registration or membership with ASHRAE, CIBSE, PE, or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 8-10 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Minimum 3-5 years of direct experience on Data Center or Mission-Critical Facility projects.
• Proven experience with cooling systems, chilled water networks, CRAH/CRAC units, HVAC systems, fuel systems, and central utility plants.
• Experience supporting testing and commissioning activities.
• Minimum 3-5 years of Middle East experience.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE, NFPA, CIBSE, SMACNA, and international mechanical design standards.
