IT Manager - Insurance | Saudi Arabia

As an IT Manager , you will be responsible for leading and managing the company’s IT operations, infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and digital transformation initiatives. The role focuses on ensuring the availability, security, and performance of all technology systems while supporting business objectives, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence within the insurance industry.

Key Accountabilities 

The position involves: 

• Develop and implement the company’s IT strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and long-term growth plans.
• Manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud environments, databases, and end-user systems.
• Oversee the administration, support, and enhancement of core insurance applications and business systems.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of all IT systems through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead cybersecurity efforts, including risk assessments, vulnerability management, security awareness, incident response, and compliance with industry standards.
• Establish and enforce IT governance, policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Manage IT projects, system implementations, upgrades, integrations, and digital transformation initiatives from planning through execution.
• Collaborate with business departments to identify technology needs and deliver solutions that enhance productivity and customer service.
• Ensure effective disaster recovery, business continuity planning, data backup, and recovery procedures.
• Manage relationships with external vendors, technology partners, and service providers to ensure quality service delivery and cost optimization.
• Prepare and manage the IT department budget, monitor expenditures, and optimize technology investments.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi regulatory requirements, cybersecurity frameworks, insurance industry standards, and internal company policies.
• Prepare regular management reports on IT performance, cybersecurity posture, project progress, service levels, and operational risks.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

We are Looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, cybersecurity, applications support, or IT management roles.
• Previous experience within the insurance, financial services, banking, or highly regulated industries is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, cloud technologies, virtualization, databases, and enterprise applications.
• Experience managing cybersecurity programs, IT governance frameworks, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.
• Proven track record in leading IT projects, system implementations, digital transformation, and vendor management.
• Strong understanding of Saudi regulatory requirements related to information security, data protection, and technology governance.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills with experience leading technical teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in both Arabic and English.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and deliver results within strict timelines.
