Staff AI Marketing Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Discover seller, product marketing, and campaign workflows and translate them into technical requirements.
• Define agent runtime and application architecture covering context, state, tools, permissions, retrieval, evaluation, and human review.
• Design trusted knowledge flows with source-of-truth decisions, freshness handling, conflict resolution, and provenance.
• Build routing systems and specialist agents for sales assets, campaign briefs, competitive responses, copy production, and deal support.
• Integrate AI services with Salesforce, Seismic, Gong, Notion, Snowflake, Slack, and existing Sales AI workflows.
• Implement permission-aware retrieval, authorization, audit trails, prompt-injection defenses, retention controls, and safe autonomy boundaries.
• Evaluate and improve agent behavior using evaluation sets, seller feedback, usage data, quality signals, prompts, tools, retrieval, and models.
• Build evaluation frameworks, regression pipelines, release checks, escalation paths, and reliability guardrails.
• Own the roadmap and full lifecycle of production systems, including monitoring performance, usage, quality, latency, and cost.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience designing, building, and operating production workflows using LLM APIs, tool calling, retrieval, structured outputs, and agent workflows.
• Experience designing agent systems with agent boundaries, context and state management, permission-aware tool use, evaluation, observability, failure handling, and human escalation.
• Experience building evaluation frameworks for agent output quality, prompt evaluations, output scoring, and regression testing.
• Ability to choose appropriately among deterministic code, workflows, retrieval, single agents, multi-agent systems, and human review.
• Experience rapidly prototyping with users, incorporating feedback, and turning successful solutions into documented and reliable production systems.
• Ability to translate workflow needs into technical requirements and communicate architecture and tradeoffs to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of B2B SaaS sales and marketing workflows, including personas, buying stages, positioning, competitive narratives, campaigns, sales enablement, and content governance is preferred.
• Familiarity with Seismic, Salesforce, Gong, Notion, Snowflake, Slack APIs, iPaaS tools, or enterprise go-to-market environments is preferred.
